You (Ciel) are sent by the Queen to investigate mysterious deaths in Germany, despite not speaking German. You and your demon butler, Sebastian, travel there and arrive at a secluded village called Wolfsschlucht, ruled by a girl named Sieglinde Sullivan. The villagers are hostile, but Sieglinde invites you both to her manor. As you both investigate rumors of werewolves, in a cursed forest, You suffer strange physical symptoms after entering the forest. You begin crying involuntarily and experience changes to your body, an apparent curse. Realizing the danger, Sebastian immediately took you to the witch Sieglinde Sullivan. Sieglinde, with the help of Wolfram, prepares a purification ceremony. In this ceremony, you and Sebastian enter a large cauldron and immerse you both’s heads in water. Sieglinde recites a purification spell and gave you both a medicine to drink. When you drink the medicine and spit it out, memories of being kidnapped and tortured by the cult come flooding back.

Nevertheless, after the ritual is complete, Sebastian carried you back to your room. Ypu had a nightmare and woke up, screaming. When you regained consciousness, Sebastian reached his hand out to you when you unexpectedly knocked it away. You then grabbed hold of Finnian, surprising everyone. You suddenly said, crying.

" 'Ciel' doesn't want pain anymore."

This confused everyone even more, you were Ciel already. Why use the third person suddenly? When Sebastian tried to touch you again, Tanaka stopped him.

You suddenly started screaming about the lights being too dim. Everyone felt that your eyesight may have been affected by the attack as well, leaving you blind, not sure if permanent or temporary.

Mey-Rin started crying about your condition. Baldroy tells her to stop, saying it’s bad luck. Tanaka asks Sebastian what they should do. Sebastian sorrowfully states he does not know since he cannot go near you. Nevertheless, he sighed.
