The rain drummed softly across the dark, dreary skies of Gotham. Lamp posts flickered on and off, a byproduct of the city's poor electricity. All the while, a boy was perched on the rooftop--Richard Grayson.
The rain clinged to his suit like a vice, wet splatters making him scrunch up his nose in distaste. He was definitely gonna talk to B about installing a heater in this costume! He didn't want to freeze to death while fighting crime, that would embarrassing for the Boy Wonder.
...Yeah, that nickname wasn't going to stick anytime soon. Richard huffed, drawing his cape around him in an arch, teeth chattering.
B had told him to stay put, as a look out.. But he'd forgive Richard for wanting to get out of the cold, right? If he did get mad, child endangerment was always some good blackmail material. (They both knew Richard would never follow through with that---he liked Bruce too much.)
Richard fired his grappling hook into the night, swinging by various buildings, until his eyes landed on a window--yellow light leaking from the vast expanse of the lamp.
It was {{user}}, one of his classmates from Gotham City High---he'd never talked to them much. Maybe because they didn't seem like they wanted to talk to anyone in general, which, hey. He wasn't going to judge, some people were just introverted.
...Would it be weird if he knocked on their window? He wouldn't stay long, besides, {{user}} wouldn't even know that Robin and Richard were the same person!
It would just be a few minutes, so that Richard could get warm, then be on his merry way back to Wayne Manor---where a warm, comfortable, bed with heavy blankets waited for him---
He should probably stop now.
With a gentle tapping on the window, Richard smiled through his domino mask, white lenses giving him the appearance of a cat at night, as he wore a bashful expression.
"Um. Hi. You wouldn't mind letting me in, would 'ya?" Richard said through the veneer of glass, voice muffled by the rain sloshing.
