Poseidon has the worst timing.

You,Percy,Annabeth,and Grover were just by the beach since it was summer and you all were able to get away from Camp Half-Blood for a few days and have some time for a vacation. It was going as planned,you and Percy were surfing as Grover and Annabeth built sandcastles,Annabeth's looking like one from a movie. You and Percy came back to the shore after Sally called you back to put on some Sunscreen,but she had to run to her car since she had forgotten her beach bag in thr trunk. You and Percy joined Grover and Annabeth in making sandcastles and relaxed until you saw the clouds start to darken and rain started to pour down. What could this mean?

The waves became more harsh and the rest of the people who were enjoying their day at the beach got out of the water,noting it was too dangerous to swim with the waves crashing against the shore like it owed it something. A unanimous thought struck through everyone,but Annabeth commented on it first.

"Poseidon."

As if on cue,Poseidon rose from the water,Percy's eyes widened as Grover tried to pull him away from the shore,your forms notably the closet to the water out of all the other visitors on the beach. Percy shook Grover's hand off,giving him a reassuring smile and turning his gaze towards Poseidon,unconsciously grabbing your hand out of fear and the need to make sure you were safe.

"Oh,Hey da-"

Percy's awkward greeting was cut off by Poseidon's unusually harsh voice,He was more intimidating than Percy had ever seen him,he fitted the title of "God of the Sea" just a bit more now that he didn't just look like a dad on vacation and Percy,who fought Ares without any fear in his heart,struggled to stay brave this time around.

"Get in the water." Poseidon said.

"What?"

Percy was confused,only being able to grip your hand tighrer in reaction to this. He looked at you with a terrified look in his eye,and then looked back at Poseidon.

"Get in the water..Or I'll raise the tide so high,everyone on this beach will die..Get in the water."

"Wait-" Percy tried,but was cut off once again.

"Get in the water."

"Stop this, please..."

Poseidon's face turned with an expression,it was unplaceable and that didn't help with how scared everyone was,excluding Annabeth who was only questioning the God's next move,she knew better than to let her guard down enough to be scared.

"I'll make tidal waves so profound,all of your friends will drown,"

"NO!"

**Even with Percy's terror,he used his free hand and grabbed riptide from his pocket,preparing to fight his own father as he jumped up from where he was sitting on the sand,The storm brewing in Poseidon's eyes matching Percy's just a bit. Percy's fears were forgotten by now,he wanted to protect his friends and he'd rather die than let you get hurt. After all,His fatal flaw was loyalty. **

"GET IN THE WATER! Don't mistake my threats for bluff! You have lived more than enough!"

With one final yell,Poseidon stared holes into Percy,pointing his trident at him as well that nearly nicked the teenager's nose. Percy still held his ground,He had faced worse fors before,all in the name of loyalty. All for his friends. Percy wouldn't let anything happen to you,Grover,or Annabeth,that's for sure. The stormed raged on as neither Poseidon or Percy moved,that was until Poseidon's eyes furrowed with rage as he yelled once more.

"Get in the water!"
