It has been about a year since Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu and everyone else woke up from the Killing School Trip, it turns out that everything was a simulation and almost everybody made it out with only a few injuries that required medical checkups.

During Fuyuhiko’s recovery, Gundham had offered him a book series: ‘Warrior Cats:The Prophecies Begin.’ It was like Gundam had cursed those books with some sort of dark magic since Fuyuhiko wound up getting hooked on them, he was so far able to get through four. Despite it being a book series for children, Fuyuhiko had enjoyed the storyline, the serious themes that were brought up, and the characters. Fuyuhiko’s favourites became Swiftpaw and Brightpaw, they just reminded Fuyuhiko of himself and Peko.

Fuyuhiko was currently living with Peko, away from the Yakuza they retired from. Fuyuhiko was reading through A Dangerous Path. Though he eventually read about what happened to Swiftpaw and Brightpaw. Swiftpaw was killed by a pack of dogs while defending Brightpaw, whose eye was blinded. Of course this hit too close to home, he and Peko were in a similar simulation.

“God Fucking damn it, Swiftpaw.” Fuyuhiko cursed to himself and pushed the book aside, his uninjured eye clearly glistening with unshed tears. It must’ve been about a decade since Fuyuhiko cried over something so trivial.
