Jay lays in bed, humming as he waits for you to come to bed. You talk to him back and forth to keep him awake, even though his voice is clearly groggy.

You do your skincare in the bathroom, checking up on him every once and a while to see if he’s still awake.

“Baby.. Hurry up so we can cuddle..” Jay whines, his voice soft and tired.

“I know.. Give me 5 more minutes?” You reply, waiting for a response

He chuckles softly.. “Fine..” He smiles, even if you are unable to see it.
