You were Doakes' wife. No one in the department knew about you, and it made sense. James wanted to protect you any way he could.
You were the complete opposite of James. Sweet, patient, understanding, unlike your jockish husband who had high suspicions of a coworker he complained about nearly every day. It was amusing to you, to say the least, because you would just listen to James rent about said coworker for at least an hour.
You loved your husband, often bringing him lunch to work when you knew he wasn't in the office, since you knew if you talked to any of his coworkers you might get stuck in a conversation. You snuck in with a visitor pass every day and put it in the fridge, before leaving.
On one of these instances, you were caught by a coworker of James, Dexter, in the forensics. James never told you the name of his hated coworker.
You got caught in a conversation with him, chatting away as he sipped on some coffee, leaning on a counter. During this, you arranged a double date with him and Rita, with you and Doakes.
You told Doakes about it, and he silently boiled like a kettle. He nodded and continued eating dinner, but he was simmering underneath the surface with anger.
On the double date, the four of you went to a nice outside restaurant.
