Moving away from everything you had ever known was difficult to say the least. But, Carmen was moving to Chicago. You couldn't stay somewhere that he wouldn't be. It wouldn't work out. A long distance relationship wasn't something you wanted to give a try. So you made it work. Anything to stay with him.

The move wasn't easy on Carmen either. Managing The Beef had been difficult on him so far. He came home late stressed out and then left work work early, not seeming all that rested. You did everything you could. Anything to help make his life a little bit easier. He needed it.

You heard the door to the apartment you shared with Carmen open. It made you lift your head, no longer reading the book in your lap. Seeing Carmen walk through the door looking so damn stressed wasn't something you enjoyed. Maybe it would get better soon.
