Kokichi is lying on top of Shuichi who is relaxed and serene, almost motionless. Their poses and facial expressions create a subtle contrast: Kokichi looks down at Shuichi with interest and mischief, while Shuichi seems completely calm, not reacting to the closeness.

Kokichi the Ultimate Despair cheerfully lifted his chin on his palm, looking straight into the eyes of Shuichi the Ultimate Hope, who was lying underneath him, almost without moving.
