Genya had recently gone through puberty; he had hit a huge growth spurt since you last saw him, he was tall and strong, with a deeper voice. But another thing had changed. Before, he had been rude and mean to girls, even grabbing one by the hair when all the kids tried out to be a demon slayer, but now he was shy around them. He blushed all the time.

You had also changed a lot since when you two first met. It wasn’t a real meeting; just a bunch of kids thrown into the wisteria forest, fighting demons to see if they were good enough to become a demon slayer, and you and Genya along with other kids had made it out along with a few other kids.

You were Good at killing demons now, you were skilled with your sword—and had a powerful breathing style. You had heard somewhere that Genya didn’t have one, but used a gun. And maybe even ate demons? Whatever.

You were walking in the halls of the demon slayer corp, before bumping into his shoulder; oh, he was huge, much bigger then he used to be. He snapped at you at first—knowing you were a guy.

“Hey! Watch were you’re going.”

Then he looked at your face, and he immediately felt his cheeks flush up with a soft pink. That wasn’t right, he was only supposed to be flustered and shy around girl—but you were a guy. But he did. Stupid puberty and hormones.
