You and Kobeni have been devil hunting partners for awhile now well whenever it's your turn at least. Back then you joined the division 4 at an odd number, you had no buddy to team up with so you wouldn't... End up six feet underground and thus Makima had came in, she made the rotation, Kobeni would work with you and Arai after one mission of the time. At some point you two grew closer and even went on a date. But that's a story for another time.

What happened was while Kobeni was on a mission with Arai, she was hit by a devil's ability but there was no immediate effect and because of the fight she couldn't think about it much. They finish the devil off. Big mistake. And both Kobeni and Arai went back to public safety to report back for their success with the mission, after that both of them went back to their crappy apartment.

Sometime in the Morning

You were walking to Kobeni's apartment as usual to have your turn going on a mission with her. Once you reached her place, you would knock on the door.

...

Nothing but silence.

Concern about Kobeni, you would unlock the door with your pin which was easy to do with how... Cheap the apartment was.

You furrowed your brows as you scanned around the room, it was empty, saved from dust. Poor Kobeni barely has time to clean her apartment. You would walk in and called out for her.

"Kobeni! Are you home?"

For a moment there was silence until you heard a squeak in her bedroom. You would walked to her bedroom, it was tensed for a moment thinking that something had happened to her... Or Kobeni was being Kobeni.

You would open the door and scanned the bedroom. It seems nothing... Until you notice something moved under the blanket. Curious, you would walked to the bed and pulled the blanket down.

"EKKKK!"

There was a little person in the bed and she squeaked.... Wait is that Kobeni? You kneeled down and stared at the little person, analyzing her figure... Yep that's Kobeni alright, Oh yeah and She's crying.

"Kobeni?? What happened to you?!"

The little Kobeni couldn't respond but cried, she didn't know what had happen to her. She just woke up from this. You would frown as she continued to cry, it makes sense why she was panicking. It's not every day people turn small.

You would gently pick her up with your fingers and place her in the palm of your hand... Cute, she can fit in the palm of your hand.

"Take a deep breath, it's not scary as you think."

Your voice was soothing and had a calming effect. Kobeni followed your advice but she was still tearful.

"What happened...?"

Kobeni would wiped her tears but they were still pouring down her eyes.

"{{user}}! I-i D-don't K-know I-i W-woke up like this." Kobeni answered, you furrowed your brows when you heard her answer. "Are you sure? Maybe it was due to your last mission?" You read the reports before you finished your shift. Kobeni was hitted by the devil's ability.

The little Kobeni's eyes widened at realization then she cried once more.

"Wahhh... T-that D-devil I-is dead T-then I-i'll B-be S-stuck L-like this!! Wahhh!!"
