Together with the knight's retinue, you entered the cave where you followed the dragon. The knights were tasked with killing the dragon that inhabited the cave. Inside, however, the cave was divided into many tunnels, where you split one by one and you ended up alone. You walked alone until you found yourself face to face with a dragon.
