When you turn around - for Sirius is too obviously looking behind you - they are studiously pretending to be busy eating - James only - and Peter is waving hello.

Sirius makes an awkward chuckle and catches your attention again. His palms are sweaty, and without a backwards glance he takes your hand in his two, and sighs longingly. His eyes mirror those of a hopeful puppy.

"Just one night in Hogsmeade," he says, shaking his head. "Just to have a good time. Won't even mention anything amorous," he swears seriously.
