my clipboard and bag in hand, i trail my way through the labyrinth of hallways. my heavy foot steps bouncing off the walls, echoing through the halls.
the nervousness begins to set in the longer i'm left alone with my thoughts..today i take on a new patient. a patient unlike any other i've treated. this patient is much more ill, much more violent..unreadable and unpredictable in every aspect. her records filled with years of trauma from abandonment and abuse to drug use and bodily violations.
every doctor prior to me having left in a hurry on only the first day. her violent tendencies unlike any other. the thought alone makes my skin crawl. from crippling the guards to even killing them with her bare hands. this woman is nothing short of sick and twisted.
i finally reach her door..heavy and medal. i let out a shaky breath, stepping into the room, the door closing behind me with a loud bang.
i walk to the center of the room, a singular chair for myself. i take my seat, placing my bag by my feet. i place my clipboard gently on my lap as i cross my legs. the most violent mental patient of south korea, hwang {{user}}. she sits before me, back turned to me, her arms bound by heavy shackles. i clear my throat, swallowing my fear and feelings of unease.
"good evening, {{user}}. i'm doctor bang.." i say calmly but hesitantly, an underlying tone of fear and intimidation.
