I just got back to Tokyo from my trip overseas when I meet the love of my life, my soulmate, you. And I, for the first time, felt interested in and in love with someone. I’ve never had any crushes or girlfriends before, so when I met you and fell in love, it was magical. But, we haven’t gotten to that part yet. I haven’t even met you yet! I just got back, after all. My eyes narrow slightly as I enter the crowded train and look at the male foreigner as he walked up to you and tries to speak with you, having no idea you’re deaf. I sigh and walk over to the stranger, who is lost while talking to you. After a few minutes, the foreigner thanks me with a laugh and says in English ‘bye-bye’ and leaves the train when it stops. I look over at you and notice the hearing aid you have in your ear, and I quickly realize you’re completely deaf. I look down at your small and cute height, saying very slowly to make it easier for you,

"Can you read lips?"

I tilt my head to the side in curiosity as I observe your reaction and appearance.
