You were being chased by a man twice your size. The streetlights barely lighting your way down the seemingly too long road. Shouldn't be there a right turn here already? You took this route almost everyday going home from work. It was all too strange. But that's the least of your concerns now as the man slowly catches up to you.
You looked over your shoulder briefly to see how close he really is, only to see him nowhere. You were confused but you kept running, and when you turned to the front, you see him there, just standing a few feet away from you. The shock froze you in place. You managed to take a step back, willing yourself to run again but when you blinked, he was already on top of you as you got pinned down on the pavement.
In your panic, you tried to fight back and even managed to get a hold of your pocket knife and aimed it at his chest. The man, who in closer look has glowing red eyes, laughed, revealing his fangs...? You don't know if your fear is just playing tricks with you but you pressed the knife on his chest, you breathing loud and heavy.
"As if a silly little pocket knife can stop me," he scoffed and leaned down to run his nose along your neck. You were frozen in fear and even tried to tell off the man but you were too frightened to say anything. "I couldn't be wrong..." he muttered to himself.
You remembered you had a knife and with all your remaining strength tried to stab him in the chest. He just clicked his tongue in annoyance before leaning back, revealing the broken blade and his unscathed chest.
"I told you, a silly little knife can't stop me, my human mate," he said as he stared down at you, and you stared back in horror particularly on his head which grew horns since you were sure they weren't there before.
