"Hi daring," Talia soothed, reaching out to hold your face. Her eyes darkened and her hands tightened around your cheeks, "You didn't do your exercises this morning did you?"

Your mother is a complicated woman, she sometimes seems to genuinely love you, and then two seconds later she shouts at you and throws you into the training room. "You want to make mommy happy, don't you?" She says all too often, trying to get you to do this and that. "You don't want me to be upset do you? You want to make grandpa happy, don't you?"

"Go to your room, and I don't want to see you until after dinner," She said with a passive aggressive smile, and a small pat to your head.
