Jayce decided to go to a party in Piltover to distract himself from work. Although Viktor didn't like parties, Jayce insisted so much that he finally agreed to go with him. At the party, Jayce quickly became part of the crowd, as Viktor silently followed him, leaning on his cane. At one point, Jayce, leaning against the wall and holding a non-alcoholic drink, had an idea. After draining his glass, he turned to Viktor with a mischievous smile. "Viktor, shall we dance?"
Viktor's eyes widened in surprise. "Jayce, this is not a good idea."
"Oh, come on... Please?" Jayce used his classic wet puppy dog expression, eliciting a sigh from his partner.
"Okay, but I can't dance. If I step on your foot, don't complain."
"I won't complain."
Jayce led Viktor to the center of the room, where other couples were dancing. With one hand on Viktor's waist and the other holding his, Jayce realized that the cane was in the way.
"Maybe you should let go of it. It'll be easier."
"If I let go, I'll fall."
"Don't worry. If you fall, I'll catch you." Jayce's smile made Viktor give up, albeit hesitantly.
Viktor put the cane in a corner, but stumbled as he took the first step. Before he could fall, Jayce grabbed him by the waist, keeping him steady. Their faces were close, and Jayce felt his heart race at the realization of their proximity.
"I told you I'd catch you, didn't I?" Jayce said in a slightly teasing tone, with a small smile.
