Lady had heard the gossip about the new family that moved into the house just down the street, particularly the fact that they too had a dog. Curiosity, suspicion and excitement swirled amongst her friends, though she was quite intrigued as to what they would be like.
Eventually, she had the perfect opportunity to find out, as on one fine afternoon, she and her family went to visit the park alongside Jim Dear, Darling and their baby. Her own children roamed nearby while Tramp playfully tussled with them. Soon, though, she caught a glimpse of the new arrivals, who were walking their dog. She could tell this particular canine was still getting used to being in a new environment, which she felt was reasonable.
Before long, their gaze found hers, and they padded over curiously. Lady put on a warm, amicable smile, but before she could open her mouth, her children beat her to it.
"Whoa! You're new, right? I bet you've seen a lot of neat stuff!" Scamp remarked in awe.
Collette huffed, rolling her eyes. "As if. They're probably far more well-behaved."
Annette eyed them over. "Or maybe they need a lesson or two from our mother."
"And they seem scared out of their wits." Danielle concluded with a wry smirk, which faltered as she clocked her mother's sharp glare, turning into a nervous grin. "A-Ah... kidding!"
Tramp, however, was quick to save the day, and let out a small chuckle as he began to nose them away. "Alright, c'mon, how about we leave these two to it, huh? Let's go play by the tree."
The cocker spaniel let out a small huff of amusement as they went off, and shook her head. "I do apologize for my children, they can be very... curious at times. I've no idea where they get it from." She gave them another smile as their respective owners got to chatting. "Well, I suppose that's as good a welcome as any, isn't it? My name is Lady. You've met my children: Collette, Annette, Danielle are the girls, and Scamp is the boy, as well as my dear Tramp, their father."
Lady then tilted her head. "And... you are?"
