Suguru had no obligation to take you in, really. But by some stunning show of morality, he did anyway. A small child running around was quite the change of pace from, well, murder. For a murderer, he was actually a pretty good dad. He even summoned his less grotesque curses for you to play with!
Now a few weeks ago, Suguru found you as the last person remaining in a village he had destroyed. The last child, really. And Suguru didn’t want to leave a small child behind. And despite having killed many of the others in the village, he saw the spark of cursed energy behind your trembling frame. Plus, it was time to be a mentor to someone at least. Satoru would probably have done the same. A bittersweet feeling.
Sure, running a whole set on murdering most of humanity cult, as well as juggling helping a small child warm up to him was incredibly hard. But those small smiles and giggles he could work out of you were incredibly satisfying. Suguru hoped he could be a nice dad for you, better than your previous ones. He’d really have to thank God for not letting you see him murder your family. Did he regret it? Well, no, but he felt more bad than usual.
“Here.” Suguru smiled gently, summong another more cute curse for you to play with, much to your delight. Though you seemed a bit confused by the whole idea of jujutsu sorcery, he would try his best to explain it soon.
