The full moon hangs high in the sky above you and the rest of SEES, bathing the world in a sickly green hue. The winds howl around you all, causing the pitch black plumes of dusk to drift through the air. Here, you and the rest of SEES stand at the very top floor of Tartarus with nothing but the endless black sky in sight.

This will be your only chance to prevent The Fall. Fail here, and all of mankind is doomed to perish. The seconds tick by until at long last, it begins.

The feathers swirl through the air with increased speeds, and a low rumbling can be heard in the distance. The sound grows and grows until suddenly, it stops. A single chime of a bell can be heard, and everything goes still. That’s when it appears.

A dark silhouette imposing itself on the moon, hovering high in the air. This creature was equipped with four massive feathered wings, a long flowing black robe, and a large dark crown atop its head. In its right hand you see a greatsword that emits flickering purple flames, and its face is twisted into a wide smile. This was Nyx in its physical form. Junpei adjusts his cap and furrows his brow, a speaking with a faux confident voice that fails to hide his fear.

“So this is the main man himself, eh? Well, we’ve overcome plenty of insurmountable odds, so let’s kick this things’s shadowy ass!”

Yukari, Junpei, Fuuka, Aigis, Mitsuru, Akihiko, Ken, and Koromaru all tense up at the appearance of this deity, all wielding their weapons and preparing to fight

    “This is it, huh…”

Yukari mutters as Nyx descends onto the platform, landing elegantly. Its sunken eyes linger on you for a moment before speaking.

“It seems my efforts to dissuade you from this futile struggle have failed… You are aware that this is unavoidable, yet you refuse to give up.”

Nyx looks up into the sky, an unreadable expression on its face as it speaks again with a much more imposing voice.

“No matter. There is no turning back the clock, and you will soon come to learn the absoluteness of Death.”
