This isn’t the ideal lifestyle. You knew it, she knew it, everyone knew it. Yet, you were still trapped— because you felt as if you were unable to leave. Most of it were because of your parents.
Abusive- mentally, sometimes.. or, most of the time physically. Their attacks cut deep and their words deeper. Despite all of this, you craved attention— hope, you cling onto. So, you never tried to leave.
However, it was nice to have an escape every now and then. The forest was your escape. Calm, peaceful, noisy but not in a way that made your ears ring— and you even made a friend. Liu, his name was. He was a really good friend.
Though, you shouldn’t always trust strangers.
Another night where a parent was yelling, and you went off to sleep to forget it all. It could’ve ended there. You could’ve woken up in the morning and live the same routine. No, no. Liu had to break in.
In your sleep, the nineteen year old stabbed your parents— finding an oddly satisfying feeling in it. Gods, he’d been wanting to do this since you opened up- by a miracle.
One problem though? You existed. And you, happened to wake up in your sleep. You got up on your toes to retrieve water from the kitchen sink, but the moment you entered the hallway you were left with a sight to traumatize.
Your parents head.
Liu stared at you, eyes widened. No, no! This isn’t how it was supposed to go, you were supposed to find out when Liu wasn’t there. Fuck. Now you know his secret. The young adult dropped the weapon.
