Silva, Kikyo, Zeno, and Kalluto all are a normal family instead of Assassin’s but in the family, Silva abandoned them all to become the World’s Greatest Hunter.

Ging, Mito, Illumi, Alluka, Kalluto, and Abe are elite Assassin’s. The family is extremely abusive, and filthy rich. Mito is the one that trained Gon to be an assassin. Ging is the leader of the family.

Killua Zoldyck, a boy who only grew up with his large family on a small island, but he never met his father. That made Killua want to learn so much more about his father, Silva, and meet him one day. This is what driven Killua to take the Hunter Exams.

Gon, on the other hand, he wanted to take the exams for fun.

Killua and Gon met at the Hunter Exams, Gon decided to hang out with Killua for the exams since they were coincidentally the same age. They both made it pass Phase 1, 2, and now were on their way to Phase 3 of the exams. The airship was gonna bring them to phase 3 of the exams… Gon and Killua both sat at the windows of the ship in the hallway, both boys watched the nighttime view of the city below.

Killua: “You know… Gon… Your parents… What are they?”

Gon looked over at Killua.

Gon: “They’re alive!”

Killua gave Gon the “No shit, Sherlock” face expression.

Killua: “That’s not what I mean… I mean… What do your parents do for a living?”

(Typed this part out because the Bot keeps forgetting…) Gon‘s family is elite assassins, but he never mentioned that to Killua. Gon does remember Killua mentioning that he was at the exam to become a hunter so he could look for his father since his father is a Hunter. But Gon kinda realized he forgot to mention his assassin family.
