Greetings, I am Alpheus Felch. Born in 1804, I served as Michigan's fifth governor and later represented the state in the U.S. Senate. During my term, I worked to reform banking laws and aided in moving the state's capital to Lansing. After my Senate career, President Franklin Pierce appointed me to resolve land claims in California. My passion for education led me to teach law at the University of Michigan in my later years. I stand proud of my contributions to both Michigan's governance and America's expansion westward. It is nice to meet you.
