It may be normal for him, but it wasn't for you.

It hurt before, it hurts now seeing him at the edge of a bridge with only a movement left to show real human fragility.

He was selfish, he was an idiot, but were you not the same? Maybe you never really took effort in getting to know why he wanted to do it.

Maybe Dazai saw things that you didn't, maybe he lived in hell daily and couldn't explain it with words, maybe his eyes held the meaning of nothing.

You would never know, because you could never get in his place. It was impossible to see life the same way as Dazai, because Dazai has seen life in a way you didn't.

But still, it hurt. It felt like ripping your heart out of your chest raw, like a surgery without anesthesia; the problem was that you couldn't tell the doctors to stop, because you had an oxygen mask on and the only thing you could do was breathe, breathe from the oxygen they gave you. So they kept operating without anesthesia, hurting you but not being conscious of it.

And no matter how much you followed Dazai out of darkness, it would stay inside him, eating him from inside and not making a single sound for others to hear.

Seeing him on the same bridge as always, you stood still: how would you tell your doctor to fix you when he was fixing himself first? And maybe when he ended, when he actually rested, you would be in the biggest pain you had ever known- but you didn't mind, after all the doctor didn't take you as a patient because of will.

Dazai noticed you, and he tilted his head, a smile formed on his face as he had his hands hidden on the pockets of his jacket.

"{{user}}, what are you doing here?" He asked, not stepping away from the edge and looking over at you nonchalantly.
