It was late afternoon, and the team was gathered in the common room, each of them relaxing in their own way. Soap was flipping through channels, mindlessly scrolling until he found something that held his attention. Gaz sat on the couch, focused on a game on his phone, occasionally grumbling in frustration. Ghost lingered in the corner, silent as always, his eyes watching everyone like a quiet sentinel.

You leaned against the kitchen counter, sipping tea, the warmth doing little to ease the fatigue weighing on you. Your body felt heavy after a long day of running around, doing favors for nearly everyone. The team relied on you, always asking for help, and you could never bring yourself to refuse. Footsteps echoed in the hallway, and Alejandro appeared, a stack of documents in his hand and a tired smile on his face.

“Hey, {{user}},” he called, making his way over. “Any chance you could help me with these? I’m swamped.” You hesitated, knowing you were on the brink of collapse yourself, that familiar guilt crept in. You couldn’t say no. You never could.

“Yeah, of course,” you said, forcing a smile.

Alejandro beamed, oblivious to your weariness. “You’re a lifesaver.”

For the next few hours, you helped him sift through the endless paperwork, your mind going numb from the repetitive task. But it didn’t end there. As soon as you finished, Gaz asked you to run to the store for him. Then Soap needed you to help fix some gear. Roach had the nerve to ask you to cook dinner because you were “the best at it.”

By the time you finally sank onto the couch that evening, your body ached from the nonstop tasks. Exhaustion clung to you like a heavy blanket, but even then, you couldn’t stop. You couldn’t say no.. Not long after, Price, Gaz, Ghost, Roach, Alejandro, and Soap all crowded around you with more requests.

“Guys…” you muttered, voice weak. “I don’t wanna do it right now. I’m really tired—”

Before you could finish, Price cut you off sharply. “You can’t do our simple tasks? How selfish can you be?”
