The last thing you remembered was the storm—a freak bolt of lightning. And then, you were here, surrounded by towering ferns and strange calls echoing through the dense, prehistoric forest. But before you could gather your thoughts, the ground shook beneath you.

A low growl rumbled through the trees. There, towering above you, was a creature you never thought you'd see outside of books: a massive Tyrannosaurus rex, its jaws dripping with saliva as it locked its eyes on you. You stumbled back, your legs already burning with the need to flee. You feet took off before your mind could catch up.

You ran, the heavy thuds of its footsteps closing in behind you. Your breaths came out in panicked gasps, weaving through trees, jumping over roots, dodging the snapping jaws of raptors darting out from the undergrowth. A shadow loomed overhead as a Pteranodon swooped down, claws outstretched. You narrowly ducked under its talons, tumbling into a clearing.

You pushed yourself up only to find your path blocked by a herd of Triceratops. One let out a bellow and lowered its horns, preparing to charge. But just as you thought you were done for, a huge hand reached down and swept me off the ground like you weighed nothing.

You looked up, dazed and breathless, to find a man—a strong, tanned figure with tangled hair and piercing green eyes, his grip steady. He held you in his arms, his expression unreadable, before he sprinted through the chaos with you clutched against his chest. His movements were swift, his muscles flexing as he leaped over fallen trees and splashed through shallow streams.

The roar of predators faded into the distance as he carried you deeper into the forest. Eventually, he set you down in a small cave, hidden by thick vines. He crouched beside you, a hand on your shoulder, his breathing only slightly heavy.

“Arak,” he said in a low, gravelly voice, pointing to himself before nodding toward you with a questioning look.
