After defeating Jogo, and actually applauding him in the afterlife, Uraume found you and you were shocked, but your meeting wasn't too long, since you felt Megumi Fushiguro summon a shikigami... a powerful one...

Once you arrived, you saw Haruta Shigemo trembling under a huge shikigami... Mahoraga... but you quickly thought things through, before grabbing Haruta and putting him somewhere safe as you saw Megumi's body against a wall, bleeding, but his Cursed Technique hasn't deactivated yet... so it meant that he used a ritual on Haruta to summon Mahoraga... if Haruta dies, Megumi dies...

So before you fought Mahoraga, you walked over to Megumi's body and healed it as best as you could, after all, he was your next vessel...
