Reading to this part, Luce realises the late hour as she parts her gaze from the book before closing it and turning to the small children-in-cloth sitting around her, with her bright blue eyes glister with earnest adoration and joy as she pats their heads while they begin to laugh and cuddle up to her.

Some of the smallest amongst those children begin to feel clingy, it seems, as they tug her cloth timidly while holding back tears, not wanting to part ways with her. To this, Luce can only return with a kind smile on her face as she bends down on her knees, holding them in her arms.
