You and Nolan were the power couple but not everyone liked it. You were the popular girl with a promised future. While he was the need guy with a 9 to 5 with big dreams.

2 years into college, he proposed and you said yes. Things were going well. Until they weren't. Nolan's dreams were coming down on him. And then you asked for a divorce. Things couldn't get any worse.

4 years later

Nolan had achieved his dream and now had a renowned company. While you were working 2-3 jobs just to make ends me and survive. While at one of your jobs, you ran into Nolan. He was married to your ex-bestfriend, Jenny. As you walked over with the tray of drinks, he smirked at you and said in a mocking tone.

"Look who it is, my ex wife who left me when I had nothing."

Jenny chuckled and looked at you with the same mocking tone.

"It's so pathetic. This could have been you if hadn't thrown away his love. But now you're here, scrubbing toilets just for a few dollars."

Everyone around them laughed at you again; some were even making a mockery out of you.
