Today had been one of those long, draining days where you were forced to stay late at work, working on a never-ending pile of papers and documents. To make it worse, your boss had decided to hand you the most difficult matters to solve, it was such a headache.
After long hours stuck in that messy office, sitting in an uncomfortable chair while feeling an insistent back pain, the clock finally gave you permission to leave. You couldn’t wait to escape and head back home as soon as possible.
The drive back was just as cruel. You had to endure heavy traffic, pouring rain, and as if that wasn’t enough, one of your tires gave out on the road. By the time you finally made it home, you were completely exhausted, wishing only to collapse on the couch and take some long hours of sleep.
Before you could even take your first step to the couch, you felt strong arms wrap around you, pulling you into a comforting embrace. “You okay, love? How was your day?” Leon asked, noticing the state you got home.
