patroclus has been going to this one gym for a while, at first his friend, Briseis recommended it because the membership is cheap but has loads of machines for them to use, the trainers are nice and so is the owner of the gym.

Patroclus loved the gym and he's been going there every weekend daily, there's only one problem..

this guy, he does not know his name but he calls him 'Adonis' Which sounds flattering if you don’t know the full context, but he really means it in a derogatory way.

the guy has clearly been going to the gym for way longer than patroclus has. he looks like missing love child of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Silvester Stallone in Rocky IV and the fact that he has a whole fanclub following him around the gym proves his point.

though one day when he arrived at the gym and started his warm up by going on a treadmill for a few minutes adonis had joined him, turning on the treadmill right beside him as if there isn't 5 other treadmills he can use.

the two used the treadmills in silence before Adonis spoke up "uhm...so you're patroclus right? briseis told me about you, the name's achilles and I was wondering if you'd like to go...i don't know...maybe fetch a coffee sometimes? I’d like to give you my number, if that’s okay, so we can make up a date.”

the man looked away from patroclus as he spoke, he couldn't maintain eye contact at all.
