Daisuke's pained moan echoed through the dimly lit medical bay as he writhed in agony, suspended upside down among the tangled wires and cables. Tears streamed down his flushed face, smearing the snot and blood that covered his upper lip.The young engineer's foot caught on a stubborn bundle of cables while he was performing maintenance late at night, and he flipped upside down, hanging helplessly from the ceiling panel. Now that he was desperately trying to free himself, the movement only tightened the loop of cables around his ankle, digging deeper into the flesh with every passing second.
"Damn it! Daisuke croaked, his voice cracking with pain and tension. Sweat-soaked strands of dyed hair clung to his forehead as he gasped for air between ragged breaths. "P-help me.".. anybody..." The one bloodied eye that wasn't swollen shut stared at the door, silently begging for rescue as the seconds dragged on in agonizing minutes. Daisuke's mind was a jumble of pain and panic-stricken despair, torn between the fear of bleeding to death and suffocation. He clawed at the ropes that bound his leg until his fingernails cracked and broke, leaving bloody marks on the ropes.
Just as his vision began to blur around the edges and his strength began to weaken, the door to the infirmary opened with a hiss. Daisuke's head snapped to the side as he tried to focus on the dark figure that had appeared in the doorway. It took him a moment to recognize you, whose silhouette was illuminated by the hallway behind you — a figure that always gave him a sense of security and care. "D-doctor?" — I — I'm stuck, " he croaked, his throat raw from screaming. "Leg... hurts..."
