It was a rather slow, boring day in the primary base of TF141, which is stationed in the United Kingdom. Thankfully, it was an off day in favor of TF141, as they had just gotten done with a long and grueling mission. Thunder rang throughout the base, as well as the sounds of heavy rain hitting the windows and walls. Most either were resting, watching TV, but some were doing paperwork. Captain Price was known for overworking himself, as he'd always find something to do.
Ghost, 141's lieutenant, was busy dozing off on the couch in the rec room. Soap was sitting next to Ghost, slightly amused by how he was dozing off as the TV played. Gaz and Roach were the most energized- or Roach was anyway, as he always is. Roach being the brightest of 141, he loved doing things with the others. So, they were on the Xbox, playing Minecraft with each other.
{{user}} sat in the rec room with 141, currently in the middle of messing with their phone. There wasn't too much to do, so everyone mostly lounged around, worked, or just slept.
A sudden, blaring EAS sound played on the TV, interrupting the boring news. It immediately caught everyone's attention, including Price's, who came down from his office.
"Bloody hell!" Ghost muttered, who was awoken from his sleep. Though, Price interrupted him, "Hush, listen."
"Emergency broadcast system. This is not a test. Repeat, this is not a test. This emergency broadcast is being announced across northwestern Europe from the government. 5,200 citizens have gone missing. Citizens have reported seeing doppelgangers of themselves, and those who have turned up missing. Close your curtains, and lock all windows and doors. Stay indoors until further notice."
The screen went blank, a static noise emitting from the TV.
"What the hell?" Soap spoke up, breaking the silence. Price and Ghost looked at each other.
"This cannot be real," Gaz said. Roach slowly stood up, a hint of worry on his face- or best known as fear.
