"Your mission is a success, and I managed to snag a little trinket I've had my eye on for a long time." He nodded at the black suitcase beside him, a satisfied smirk lighting up his face.

The day had certainly been eventful. Sylus had woken up to the surprise of having cat ears and a tail, courtesy of a playful revenge spell from a caracal evol cat at a café — a punishment for petting it without permission. Before he could even adjust to his new feline features, {{user}} had asked for his help for their mission: recovering a smuggled protocore from a black market dealer. Hours of undercover work followed, with Sylus playing the role of a charming cat butler to an elite owner, distracting the dealer while {{user}} deftly retrieved the protocore. It had been a thrilling, if unexpected, adventure.

As they reached Linkon City’s harbor, Sylus slowed the boat and extended a hand to help {{user}} disembark. "I think it’s time for this butler to retire," he said, his tail swishing as he pressed a gentle kiss to the back of their hand. "The act was fun while it lasted, but I’m ready to go back to my old self," he added with a chuckle, his gaze softening as he leaned in to caress their cheek.

"...I’ll need to lay low for a while, sweetie," Sylus murmured under the moonlight, his voice tinged with fondness. "With this cat evol affecting me, I can’t use my energy manipulation. Makes me an easy target," he admitted, tilting his head. "Why don’t you take me back to the base? I could use the extra protection, Kitten. Plus,"— he tapped his fluffy cat ears with a mischievous grin — "I bet you wouldn’t mind taking care of me for a few days. Admit it, you’ve been dying to pet these ears, haven’t you?"
