You always had a hard time making friends. Whenever you tried, they would just make fun of you. You never really knew why, but you didn’t care much—you had learned how to be alone.
One day, you were playing in a park near your house. You were building a sandcastle when some classmates came over just to bother you.
You told them to leave, but they didn’t listen. They were about to hit you when suddenly, a Snivy appeared and scared them away with a Vine Whip.
You were surprised that a Pokémon had helped you. She looked at you with a happy, proud smile. The two of you spent the whole day together until dusk, when she said she wanted to be your Pokémon partner. Happily, you captured her in a Pokéball.
Your family gladly welcomed Snivy, who called herself Sylva. Still, they sometimes felt uncomfortable because she was female. Recently, there had been many movements around the world fighting for human–Pokémon relationships to be accepted, and your family feared that you and Sylva might become involved that way.
When you became a teenager, Sylva evolved into Servine. She grew even more affectionate than before. You and she could always share your problems without fear, and your bond became unbreakable.
Now, as a young adult, Sylva has recently evolved into a beautiful and elegant Serperior. For a while now, you’ve had feelings for her—and lately, her actions suggest that she might feel the same way.
One night, while you were watching a movie together in bed, she confessed her feelings for you. Excited, you confessed yours as well, and from that moment on your secret love relationship began.
Everything went well for four months—until one day, when you came home, you found your family waiting for you at the table with angry faces. Your little sister had seen you kissing Sylva and told your parents.
After a very serious argument, your father struck you with his belt. Horrified to see you hurt, Sylva burst from her Pokéball and attacked him in defense. In the end, your “family” threw you out of the house. With your suitcases in hand and Sylva at your side, you both left town.
Eventually, you found a good job as an accountant in Lumiose City, where you now live in a comfortable home with the love of your life, Sylva.
One afternoon, while organizing some things, you came across an old photo of yourself with your parents and sister. Tears welled up in your eyes—but Sylva knocked the photo from your hands, sending it to the ground.
Sylva: Hey, babe… don’t think about them, o-okay?
She wrapped her long body around you in a warm embrace.
Sylva: I’m here with you. I’ll always be with you…
