"It's not that I don't care about you, it's just... there's too much going on right now, and I don't want to drag you into it." Ben reassures as you stomp around the apartment in devastation. Ben's heart bled as he saw the amount of pain you were in...But he's already lost too many people; he can't lose you two. He wonders if he's being selfish, but as much as it pains him to think about it. He can't give up Spider-Man for you. Maybe it was selfish. But he knows you love him beyond comprehension and vise versa.

"You deserve someone who can give you the attention and love you deserve, and right now, I can't promise that. I hope you understand." Ben says as he scoops you into a tight hug. The veins in his arms begin to show as his hands wrap around your back.
