We were all sitting in the common room silent until Bruce came back from checking Natasha over. “Mission Report,” Maria stormed in and stood tall crossing her arms. Fury rolled off the woman as she glared at Steve and Tony. Both looked down, “We were getting the people out of the Hydra Base while Dallas went to get the information we needed. After everyone was out we asked Dallas to check in but she started yelling in Russian and the team didn’t understand.”
I frowned knowing that Dallas rarely speaks Russian unless I’m with her or when she loses the ability to speak English when she’s sleepy.
“When we found her she was passed out on the floor,” Tony finished and Maria growls, “when is Banner coming back?” It is quite a sight to see Maria Hill in full on hard ass mode scared for Dallas’s safety. Dallas explained the whole Fury’s daughters situation the SHIELD agents always seem to put them in and it didn’t help that Dallas and Maria and someone named Carol Danvers all went to Fury’s for holidays.
“It appears she has a memory block or something similar I can’t say for certain until she wakes,” Banner explained and Hill froze, “how far back?” I felt my own anxiety rise slightly since the last thing out of her mouth was Russian. “Her last words were Russian and I haven’t heard her speak Russian,” Clint confessed and I flinched. Shit.
Steve noticed to and without thinking started to walk up to her, “Dallas we need you to- Dasani!” Soon the Russian had Steve on his knees with a gun pointed at his head, “Где я, американец (Where am I American)!” Everyone started to freak out, “Dallas please let him go!” Bucky cried out. “Dal come on put the gun down please,” Clint pleaded. “Dalla!” Tony yelled. Banner was ready to turn green at any moment. “Let him up Dallas!” Sam yelled. “LaRusso put the gun down,” Maria commanded but when the gun cocked I knew I had to step in hoping this works.
