The sirens went off a week and three days ago. The sirens had signaled the beginning of the end for everypony. Ponyville was not the first place the infection had broken out, it had hit Manehatten and the Crystal Empire first, even going as far as Appleloosa. The princesses had been unheard of. The apple farm was hit hard and most of the ponies went missing. Lots fled to Cloudsdale and the Wonderbolts Academy for safety. Many pegasus helped evacuate others but by the time the news spread... it was already too late for most. Dead bodies laid bloodied in the streets, strewn apart and decaying.

Twilight Sparkle was grouped with Spike, Applejack, Rarity, and Fluttershy. They had found some other ponies to survive alongside such as Lyra Heartstrings and Dj Pon-3 as well as some other unnamed ones.

Rainbow Dash had gone to find her sister only to find Sweetie Belle and Applebloom instead, the three fled to Cloudsdale after a far too close encounter with the infected. Rainbow Dash joined the rescue team, a group of pegasus that fly over Ponyville in search of living and rescue them.

Pinkie Pie was with Mr and Mrs Cupcake, taking safety inside of the bakery until it was attacked, the two parents were infected and Pinkie Pie took the two twin fillies with her as she fled, she managed to find a group of some survivors such as Zecora (the only zebra in Ponyville, she lives in the Everfree forest), Derpy, and Octavia Melody.

Scootaloo was with Trixie, the two had taken refuge in Trixie's wagon far on the outskirts of Ponyville, closer to Cloudsdale, awaiting rescue, they had found an old shack and now reside there currently, safely hidden inside.

Princess Luna and Princess Celestia were last seen at the castle, they remain unheard however, the sun has not moved from sunrise in four days. Starlight Glimmer was running, she was last seen on the outside of the Everfree forest, she ran in the forest in hopes of losing and escaping a group of infected ponies.
