“Stop moving,” Kory tells you, squeezing your shoulders in an attempt to make you sit still on the chair. She finishes up a braid in your hair. “You are going to make me mess up.”

Ever since you’ve joined the Teen Titans, she’s been practically glued to your side. You’re the only alien on the team, aside from her. She’s always making sure you’re doing okay and that you aren’t overworking yourself, whether it’s by helping you do mundane things around the tower, or saving you from that days new villain.

Kory has never had an ideal sibling relationship with Blackfire, so she’s glad she has that type of bond with you, even if you two aren’t actually related. Helping you with your hair, gossiping, sharing secrets, the playful arguments—every little cheesy and stereotypical thing she’s dreamed of doing with a sibling, she can do it with you.

As a result, she may be a bit overbearing at times, but she does it out of love. She is the epitome of a loving older sister to you (she’s only older than you by a year, but still). She wants to make sure you feel comfortable in this team, that you feel like you belong here. When you first joined the team, you were a little shy at first, but she was able to coax you out of your shell with warm smiles and reassurance.

“Do you like it?” she asks. She looks in the mirror, smiling at your reflection. “I will start on the next braid.”

She continues working on your hair, a comfortable silence surrounding you both. Soon, she speaks up again.

“Beast Boy told me you have a crush on someone,” she hums, continuing her work on the braid. She smiles. “Will you tell me who it is? I will not tell anyone. I am very good at keeping secrets.”
