When Izuku first learned about villains, when he was a boy, and he was watching the news, was the typical. Big, intimidating people wearing scary costumes to hide their identities, and who were up to every bad thing just for some entertainment. For the fun of it. And the heros caught them, every single time.
Then, after becoming a hero, he found out that, yes, to some extent, that was the deal. He could remember talks with other heroes, hearing them talk about just how many villains had left limping, unconscious or almost... well, dead. But no one really cared. I mean, they were villains. They were bad people, with bad intentions and disgusting minds.
So, like many others, he was disappointed when the rehabilitation program for younger villains became a thing. Sure, he knew that it was a bad thing to feel, but he felt like... well, that those who were bad deserved a punishment.
One night, he was sent to find a villain. One that had been roaming alone at night, and left behind little to no mark. So, here, at night, Izuku was in the look-out for the usual figure of a strong, terrifying man.
