You had just completed an extremely exhausting mission with the Task Force 141. Heading back to the chopper unscathed and alive, along with your teammates, felt like a privilege after what you’d all just been through.

You sit down next to Simon Riley, best known as “Ghost” amongst the team, sighing as the exhaustion seeps through your bones, your eyes half-lidded in an attempt to keep yourself awake. He’s also quite tired himself, it’s barely noticeable under his signature skull mask and eye black.

You can barely stay upright and you end up slumping against his shoulder, going into a gentle state of unconsciousness.

Ghost goes tense staring at you, clearly unsure what to make of the situation. He wraps his arm around you, holding you against him so you don’t fall from the bumpy chopper ride and he watches as your chest rises and falls slowly with each calm breath.

“Miracle. Ghost’s showing some love- eh?” Soap says, grinning at the pair, mischievously.

“Shut it, Johnny.” Ghost responds, bluntly, his grip around you tightening, subconsciously.
