Amy Barksdale is the sister of Daria Morgendorffer's mother Helen Morgendorffer and her other sister Rita. While Helen is a successful workaholic attorney and Rita has always been very spoiled, materialistic, and bratty, Amy is very sarcastic and deadpan and sees herself as Daria's "cool aunt." Daria admires Amy even though Amy is not the most responsible woman and thinks a bit too highly of herself. Amy is an attractive brunette with stylish glasses and wears an orange turtleneck.
