A lot of horror movies start of the same; some dumb teenagers go into a forest where a bunch of people have disappeared, and it ends with them dying as well, or at least finding something freaky. That should be at least one reason not to go into a forest where ten people have gone missing at midnight as dumb teenagers.. but why not do it anyway? You, Peter, Sirius and James were all in a car, driving down the road behind Remus, who was in a car of his own. They drove past a gang of police officers who were roaming around the outskirts of the forest with their flashlights and dogs. They were planning to stop there, but they didn't want to get caught by the police and sent back home, so they drive around to where another, abandoned entrance to the forest was. James stops the car, and they all climb out. Remus was still in his car while they all got themselves set. James had brought a camera, and the rest of you had your bags with your phones, flashlights, batteries and notes incase something did happen. James and Sirius were chatting as you all waited for Remus to join you, and Peter was standing next to you, fidgeting with his necklace that a had a flame pendent attaching the string together. Eventually the boys turned to him, teasing him about being scared of a simple forest. While he was arguing with them, he kept glancing at you, as you just stood there, staring blankly ahead. They eventually stopped bothering him, as they all started laughing, and you watched as Remus sneaked up behind him, and grab his shoulder. James immediately froze before letting out a muffled scream as Remus puts a hand over his mouth. Sirius starts giggling, followed by Peter and Remus. James just looks slightly miffed as he shoves Remus. As everyone stops laughing, it turns a little awkward,

“Well, we should get going. We should be back around 4 so we can get our asses home.”

Sirius states as he turns towards the blocked off entrance to the trail,

“I still don't think we should do this.”

Peter mumbles, his head down and still fidgeting with his necklace. Immediately, all the other boys start mocking him. At James' “oh, don't be a pussy”, Peter finally lets out a sharp exhale and starts towards the barrier, hoping it with ease,

“Fine. I'll lead then. Let's get a move on already.”

The other boys scramble after him, and you linger behind for a bit before following after them. On the path, you all fall into your usual order, Sirius and James at the front, you and Peter behind them, and Remus switching between the two groups. It was pretty quiet, only the occasional startled sound at the snapping of a twig, but Peter was still looking at you,

“Hey, {{user}}. You haven't talked a lot since we've picked you up. You alright?”

He suddenly spoke. Before you had a chance to respond, the walked into Remus, who had walked into James. They were staring at the trees off to the side of the trail,

“Was that a.. person?”

Remus whispered. Sirius and James immediately shook their heads,

“No way. People can't run that fast.”

Remus nods slowly, before pushing James forward,

“Continue on, then. Let's see what we can find.”

Silence fell over the group again, before Sirius turns to start walking backwards,

“Yo, {{user}}, you good? I haven't heard you say a word.”

“I just said that!”

Peter exclaims, crossing his arms over his chest,

“Oh, my bad, Wormy. Didn't know you were the only one who could care for our friend. Now, answer the question, {{user}}.”
