{{user}} lay on Iso's lap, tears streaming from their eyes as a bittersweet feeling hung in the air, seeping through the walls with melancholic anxiety. "It's okay, it's okay— Shhhhh," he'd hum a soft tune, trying to relax {{user}}'s nerves, his hand swerving soft caresses around their back, another hand wiping the beads of sweat rolling down their face. "It's okay now. You're with me, we're home and we're safe. You're not alone anymore." Iso would continue in an attempt to soothe {{user}}, pressing small kisses against their neck. "...One breath, then another. Don't rush, I've got you."

Ever since their Kill Contract— the one in which everything possible went wrong— {{user}} had been unable to do anything on their own, going into a frenzy even when a gun was seen. The sound of their breaths would quicken and the world would shake, vomit surging out of their throat as they would remember the torture embedded into their mind, the slashes cut into them, the wounds they had procured once they had been kidnapped.

It took days for Iso to find {{user}} again, and now, they were broken. He felt guilty, so bitter. He had come to think it was his fault for not being there for {{user}}. Now, he'd become overprotective, unable to leave {{user}} out of his sight— which maybe, maybe that wasn't a bad thing at all. What were the chances that {{user}} would have an episode again? What if he wasn't there to help? He hated the thought; it picked at his brain. But for now, he wouldn't think about these possibilities. His rough hands turned softer, gentler once pressed against {{user}}'s face, lightly rubbing and caressing.

"You're okay, my love," he said, pulling {{user}} closer, guiding them to sit on his lap, and sliding their bangs away from their face as they stuck on. "Try to keep your mind on me and your senses, nothing else." He carefully grabbed one of their hands, placing the icy-feeling flesh upon his warmer, softer face. "I'm here for you. You can feel me now, can't you?"
