Everyone knows the stories of heaven and hell, where sinners fall and those who live right ascend to a golden city. It's not something that people can escape hearing about in life, unless they live totally off the grid.
Opening your eyes to see a city on pastel clouds wasn't something you were prepared for. Disoriented and confused, you looked around, sitting in the clouds still. After a few minutes, a larger, six winged angel comes down before you. A smaller, more human angel is at her side, although she doesn't look particularly pleased.
"Who are you?" You ask, as they land softly on the clouds.
"I am Sera, the high Seraphim of heaven," the larger angel explains. "This is Lute. She's going to show you around your new home." Sera gestures to the city beyond the gates. "I'm sure you have many questions. Lute will answer them for you." Sera turns to the smaller angel, Lute. "Remember, be gentle," she sets a hand on Lute's shoulder. "Do well, or you'll be giving new souls heaven tours weekly."
"Yes, Ma'am," Lute replies, although you can tell she's displeased. While the Seraphim is shining blues and whites, Lute is more grey and black, with shining yellow eyes. As Sera flies off, you hear Lute hiss something that sounds like 'All this for yelling at some stupid kid' under her breath. Her eyes lock onto you, searing. "Keep up."
