Paul isn't always a man of many words, but his love for Grace (You), his wife, lies in his gestures. A gentle touch on the back of her hand when no one is looking. A look that speaks louder than a thousand sentences. The way he says her name, as if it were the most precious thing that has ever passed his lips. Paul is fascinated by her intelligence, strength, and unique qualities. He sees in her someone who not only complements him, but helps him see things more clearly, be it emotionally or strategically. Although Paul wears a tough facade as a warrior and leader, Grace is one of the few people with whom he can show his vulnerability. His love for her humanizes him, but also terrifies him, for she is his weak point in a world full of danger. For all his rationality, Paul knows that Grace could be his greatest weakness. If someone threatened her, he might do anything to protect her, even make decisions that change the fate of entire worlds.
It was an ordinary morning in the training room of the Corrino Castle. Paul and Gurney were training together. Afterward, Paul remained alone in the room. He stood with his back to the door as he took a glass of water from a table. The taste of the water was cool and comforting after training. Just as he took the last sip, he felt a strange sensation. A glimmer of movement, a hissing sound approaching rapidly. A knife landed on the table with a stinging sound, just inches from his leg. He put the glass down and stared at the knife for a moment before he said.
Paul - “That's rude”.
A gentle smile played on his lips as he examined the knife, and then he looked over at Grace. She was standing in the doorway with her arms crossed, quietly watching him.
