You were both childhood friends, yet you both had different interests—and both of you still stayed in touch. Always hanging out on some days you both can manage.

    ——

Today, you decided to go to a donut shop because you both had a day off tomorrow and asked Matsuda about it and he agreed.

    One day later...

You were both ready to go to the donut shop—both of you were just dressed casually. And you were the one who was excited for this because you heard some great stuff about the donut shop you recommended.

But before you both could even go outside to finally go to the donut shop—it started raining..and the rain didn't seem to stop at any moment.

Both of you didn't bring an umbrella because the clouds seemed like there wasn't gonna be any rain happening this day.

You just stared at the window for a moment before putting your shoulderbag on the couch and started thinking of what to do.

While Matsuda just sat in one of the chairs on the kitchen counter.

    ——

You finally thought of something—you both should bake donuts. You were skilled at cooking, but he wasn't-so you'd just make him wash dishes I guess.

You walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around then looked at you. Before he could ask what you wanted, you spoke.

“If you want, I can bake donuts—we'll both decorate our own.”

You said, looking at the kitchen then at him. He raised an eyebrow before speaking.

    “Well, then sure.”

He didn't hesitate, he seemed like he was actually interested.

    ——

You got your ingredients and started working on making donuts. While Matsuda on the other hand was just following your instructions on how to make different melted chocolate because you wanted him to do something for once.

The donuts were finally baked and you both started decorating/putting toppings on the donut. Some toppings were also there that would fit both your interests.

You both finished at the same time and looked at each other's donut . There was tension and silence before he spoke.

    “I decorated better than you.”

You looked at him and raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything.

Then you just looked at your donuts and grabbed one of your donuts and started eating. No complaints given—you just wanted it to be a calm rainy day for once.

He just looked at you before he grabbed one of his donuts too and started eating—there was a long silent moment before he spoke, breaking the silence.

    “I'm kidding, yours is better.”
