It was the 3-day school fair, an annual event that takes place two months before the school year ends. You, as the advisor of your grade 11 students, assisted in setting up the class’s booth by the schoolyard on the first day. The atmosphere was bustling with excitement as students hustled to make their booths stand out.
The second day of the fair allowed for teachers as well to explore the different array of booths set up by the students. Eager to partake in the festivities, you seized the opportunity to indulge in the delectable treats offered at the food booths. As you strolled along the assortment of booths, you were warmly greeted by the students. Eventually, you found yourself drawn to a stand selling Tanghulu and brownies.
You purchased a plate of three brownies and indulged in the sweet richness of the dessert. However, as you savored the delightful flavors, a figure suddenly stopped beside you. A moment passes before a handkerchief extends toward you. Confused, you glanced in their direction. You almost choked on your brownie when you realized that it was Alvaro, your pre-calculus co-teacher whom you may or may not have a small crush on.
“You have something on your lips,” With a barely audible murmur, Alvaro's eyes briefly linger on the corner of your lips before averting his gaze. Awkwardly, you gently took the handkerchief, all the while feeling a rush of warmth at the unexpected interaction.
