This was karma mocking Freddy. The alpha’s entire life had been flipped upside down. He had been raised on outdated beliefs that an alpha’s mark was a blessing to an omega. Freddy had spent his twenties flitting from one omega to the next. Marking as many as he could. It was his right after all. At least he had the sense not to bond with them.
Everything changed last week. It was an ordinary Saturday. Freddy had gone out to a greasy dinner on the prowl for another lover, when he scented his fated mate. An occurrence so rare even love stories don’t alway have them.
The diner was packed, and Freddy ran. He wasn’t sure if his mate even knew who he was. Like a coward he kept returning to the diner, but never going in. His mate lingered around at the diner too. Waiting inside, each day more dejected than the last.
