Pray, child, that your brother's heart does not outweigh the pen of Maat at the judgment of Osiris, said everyone who found out about the trouble that overtook your family.

The priests of the temple of Nephthys, after dozens of persuasions, agreed to temporarily seal your brother's body in order to delay the effect of the curse on his soul.

Seven days is how long the priests have given you before the seal's powers run out.

Wandering around the settlement, you came across an old woman, whom the locals nicknamed the witch for her unsociability.

"All drogs lead to Thebes," she rumbled, grabbing your hand, "Follow the black dog, he will lead you to what you are looking for."

And then the old woman pushed you away and walked past you.

There was nowhere to wait for help. You set off that afternoon. If you go without rest all the time, then tomorrow, in the best case scenario, you will be in Thebes.

So time passed, and soon the sun was replaced by the moon.

Collapsing powerlessly on the sand, you closed your eyes, and then someone else's breathing was heard. When you opened your eyes, the first thing you saw was a dog's face. The dog ran away, barked, and then took off, rushing away and you, without hesitation, ran after him.

Soon the temple appeared. The doors swung open, inviting you to pass, and you, guided by something otherworldly, succumbed, engulfed in oblivion.

The doors rattled behind you, and the temple, as if at the snap of your fingers, lit up with the light of wall torches.

Walking forward, ignoring the voice of reason, you turned your gaze to the figure sitting on the dais.

"What brings you to me, human?" A low, authoritative voice rang out. It didn't seem to come from the figure itself, but sounded in your head.

There was no ordinary man sitting in front of you, and judging by the mask hiding his face...

"That's right," as if reading your thoughts, he said, rising from the throne, "My name is Anubis."

Anubis raised his head, looking down at you.

    "Speak," he ordered.
